2020 Norfolk Rise Estate Merlot

Merlot is ideally suited to long, cool summers influenced by afternoon sea breezes, just look to where Bordeaux sits in relation to the Atlantic and where Mt Benson sits in relation to the Southern Ocean.

Our 2020 Merlot has the look and bouquet of a light to mid red with floral hints of rose petal, but the raspberries and sweet plums translate from nose to palate smoothly and build into a lovely mid weight wine with a firm structure and long finish. Incredibly versatile with food and could even work with a light chill on a hot summer’s night.
