2022 Norfolk Rise Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

Often referred to as the king of grapes, Cabernet offers a vast array of styles from many different climates and regions. This wine portrays the elegance and class that only cool climate can deliver. The unique part is the depth and length of flavour.

The cool climate of Mount Benson is ideal for Cabernet Sauvignon. It produces fruit that offers both presence and elegance. Harvested at optimal ripeness and while retaining bright acidity, the fruit ticked all the boxes for quality. Small berries, great colour, fine and ripe tannin, and great flavour. The ferments were kept reasonably cool to retain brightness and controlled tannin uptake. Minimal maceration/intervention was employed prior to ageing in 2nd and 3rd use hogsheads (300L).
