2023 Where the Wind Blows Chardonnay
Pressed straight to tank and taken off juice lees before ferment. 20% of this wine was put to new French oak once the ferment commenced, this portion also saw malolactic fermentation to soften its zingy acid.
Both the barrels and the tank were stirred regularly (battonaged) to re suspend the ferment lees, helping to build the texture and increase complexity in the wine.
A Chardonnay offering rock melon and white nectarine on the nose, followed by a delicate front palate. A beautifully rich mouthfeel with a long, balanced finish.
